Remember Jimmy Dorsey from Gold Rush Season One?

Jimmy Dorsey
Jimmy Dorsey was one of the original miners on the first season of Gold Rush.  He was the one they portrayed as a goof-ball and who eventually left the mine after getting into a fist fight with another miner.

Thanks to the magic of the internet, Jimmy Dorsey has been trashing the Gold Rush show on his own blog.

Among other things, Dorsey says that he was supposed to be paid $1000 per episode in the first season, that Discovery Channel offered him $80,000 to come back for season two ($5,000 per episode).

He also says that the Hoffmans' own partial rights to the show and between their appearance fees and ownership have made over $1 million off the show.  No wonder they keep getting bigger even though they don't make any money from the actual gold mining.

Here is Dorsey's "Sizzle Reel" or "Demo Reel" pitching a new gold mining show starring Dorsey.

  1. I think the Hoffmans treated Jimmy Dorsey appallingly. Considering Todd and Kiddy fiddler Jack (aka Herbert the pervert, Family Guy) are supposed to be men of God, or they are when it suits them and Jack is visiting poor children in third world countries who he lets sit on his knee and play with his beard. After that he takes them to local markets and buys dresses and things for the girls and gets close to families offering to pay for schooling; a groomer if ever I saw one- see todd's personal YouTube account where I called Jack out so assuming he's not deleted the vids or disabled comments. He's also singing an Ozzy track with Heidi Grisham, that is big fat Todd I'm referring to there lol. Pair of misfits, but anyway the way Jack cackled with glee as he destroyed Jimmy Dorsey 's wooden cabin made me feel physically sick. He is not a man of god, he has zero respect for people or their property. The girls on the Hoffmans videos need speaking to about their meetings with jack, he's a lecherous perv, made me very uneasy on each video. I wish a law enforcement officer in the states would start an investigation. He's no innocent man!
